What Makes The Bridge Different?
Identity Issues in Most
Recovery Programs
Many, if not most, recovery programs including most Christian faith based programs ,still identify as addicts or alcoholics. We teach, preach, and believe we are set free and that we have a NEW IDENITY in Jesus Christ.
Helping Believers Get Integrated
Into Local Churches
Many recovery ministries, including twelve step programs, meet at churches yet the people that attend the meetings have very little connection to those churches other than attending the recovery meetings. We become a fully integrated ministry of the local church and help those in recovery through the Bridge, to get integrated and become fully functioning disciples in a local body of believers.
Intentional
Discipleship
We believe we are saved from sin (and our addictions) to serve and follow Jesus. We emphasize discipleship to those become a part of the Bridge ministry and the local church that is hosting the bridge meetings. Jesus last marching orders to the apostles was to make disciples of all nations, we continue that commission and commandment through the Bridge.
